About Us

Doors Wide Open is an outreach program that focuses on youth in middle school, high schoolers, high school graduates and young adults. We aim to ensure that basic life skills are taught and new skills are gained. Volunteering and participation in apprenticeship programs and more are offered.

Our mission is to assist those who have been, or currently in or have aged out of the foster care system plus any young adult who needs assistance with preparation and direction on how to become and thrive as an independent young adult. Latricia Bostic

CEO FOUNDER

Doors Wide Open started through the vision of our Founder, Latricia Bostic back in 2008. Latricia is not only a licensed foster parent within the state of Texas, but also hails over 20 years of Human Resources experience. Mrs. Bostic attended Lone Star College and Strayer University, focusing on business.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Aronika Young, Executive Director, is also a licensed foster parent and currently resides in the state of Tennessee. Aronika has over 15 years experience in the social services sector. She has held positions ranging from caseworker to Program trainer to Director in different social service organizations.

Lead consultant | CO-OWNER

Serving as a liaison in the community for the founder’s vision since the inception of the organization, Mr. Bostic has been a pivotal piece in the puzzle of making Doors Wide Open a reality.
